Since bikes are are made and sold in main dealers, or imported. Your V5 date of registration or vehicle registration is not always a reflection of the model bike you have.

For example, the Early 1998 - 2001 R6  this was a carbed bike, but coming into 2002 there were still some carbed bikes NEW in dealerships around the UK.

Because of this there are some 2002 carbed and injected bikes about with 2 different styles of body work, and this does not take into account imported and previously damaged bikes.

The same can be said for many many bikes and the change in body work can be minimal but mean that fairings, indicators, screens, mirrors and more are NOT transferable between bikes.

Take 5 minutes to check what year yours is and if its on an overlap year make some enquiries before you order.
